December 15th, The Regency Ballroom.
Over a hundred dancers enjoyed our end of year party. Free
to members with 20 new people joining the chapter to enter,
plus a few friends from other chapters. A great time was had
by all.

Our chapter visited Michael
and Natalia's monthly bash on October 20th 2007. We played the
music and kept the party going while M & N ran off to perform

The profits from the November showcase are
being donated to the ballroom dancers of the future. We have already
begun our program and this link shows photographs of dance instructor
David Grace teaching some young ladies and gentlemen at Sutter School

Our Hippy or Punk themed dance at the
Culver City Masonic Lodge featured a Mambo lesson from Alicia
Richardson.

Our Hawaiian Theme Dance at the Culver
City Masonic Lodge featured a Foxtrot lesson from Jonathan
Atkinson, a pro-am performance from Aida Valencia and Richard
Crouteau and a hula performance from Lokelani and Leilani.

September 30th, 2006 Culver City. Bossa
Nova is reintroduced to the dance floor after a 40 year absence
at our Tropical Dance Party. Volunteers transformed the plain
white room into a tropical paradise for a few hours. See pictures

At our April 28th, 2006 Ladies
Choice Party, we held a silent auction and the high bidders
on a private home dinner-dance party were Anna and Frank Cheng.
The venue for this event on August
19th, 2006, was the lovely
home of generous chapter member and volunteer Yvonne Caan. Other
volunteers behind the scenes at the event were board members
Michele Wolpe and Karen Ho, as well as chapter member Michael
McCarrell. Dance teacher David Chiu warmed things up. See Anna,
